Sometimes not working can make us more productive!

Unless you work in this industry or are married to someone who works in this industry, you probably don’t fully appreciate the demands of a “tax season.” The average CPA makes about 67 percent of their annual income during the months of January to April. It is a lot of work during a relatively short period of time.

Too often we get so focused on getting our work done that we lose sight of many other important aspects of life. Going to the gym becomes a thing of the past. Maintaining a proper diet and getting adequate amounts of sleep can also be neglected. In many cases, spending quality time with family can also be affected.

It is important to maintain a balance of life’s priorities during a time when it is so easy to become single focused. I find I need to put time on my schedule for priorities like exercise and personal functions or I won’t make time for them. Different approaches work better for different people. Whatever works for you, do it. We work so we can live, we don’t live so we can work!
